In 2024, I had the honor of contributing to The Limits of My Language are the Limits of My World, an exhibition hosted at The Media Majlis Museum at Northwestern University in Qatar, the country’s leading institution for media and communication.
Curated by Amal Ali, the exhibition explored how language shapes perception across culture, media, and digital platforms. My contribution showcased my social media content around language, identity, and culture, highlighting the emotional and cultural connections that form when people engage with content in a language they call their own.

For me, this project was a powerful reflection on why language resonates so deeply online. Language is more than a tool — it’s an emotional anchor. It helps us express joy, frustration, and complex ideas like identity and belonging. When content is created in our own language, the connection goes deeper, inviting others into the nuance of how we speak, think, and relate to each other — especially for those of us living between cultures.
Being part of this exhibition reminded me how far a personal passion project can travel — from the digital space into a university museum, crossing borders and reaching new audiences along the way.
